Yesterday we were lucky enough to be guests at the Dribuild charity race day in Bath.

The event was a huge success and raised a staggering £33,000 for the charity Above & Beyond, a local charity that raises funds for the hospitals that sit within University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.

A great day was had by all, and a credit to the team that put the event together.

Company Director Ben Milsom took part in a mammoth charity cycle over the weekend in a bid to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West.

The ride  saw Ben and a group of friends cycle between all the Childrens Hospices in the South West. They started at Wraxhall, Near Bristol and finished in St Austell Cornwall, via Barnstaple in North Devon.

It was a fantastic (Although gruelling) challenge, and the group hope to raise over £5000 for the charity who this year celebrate there 25th anniversary.

Bike Ride

To mark the 25th anniversary of the Children’s Hospice South West, A group of 20 friends from Weston – super- Mare, including company Director Ben, have decided to cycle a 260 mile route between the 3 Children’s Hospices (Wraxall, Barnstaple and St Austell)

As one of the charities that Broad Community Trust (Which both Gary and Ben are Trustees) supports, it is fitting in their 25th year, that all money we raise from this event is donated to them in recognition of the amazing jobs they do and to make a small difference wherever possible to the lives of the children at the hospice.

Please donate and sponsor however little in order for us to reach our goal of £5,000

If you wish to sponsor Ben as he looks to take on this massive challenge, please follow the link below.

We have some fantastic aerial pictures of solar parks we have worked on, usually taken by a drone.

Now thanks to British Astronaut Tim Peake we have one to put in the album, from space!

Check out the link below, and see if you can spot Shotwick Solar Park a new 45MW site we have recently worked on, in Deeside.

On the 24th March, one of the largest solar farms in the UK opened.

GBRS worked closely with the main contractor on site, from the very start, through to completion.

Built at a former RAF airfield now owned by the Science Museum Group (SMG), the 88 acres of photovoltaic (PV) arrays will generate close to 50 GWh of energy each year. This is enough energy to power 15,400 homes.

As you can see from the pictures a fantastic job from everyone involved.
